Julian Wonn (he/him) was born on June 25, 1996 in a small village in Saarland, Germany. In 2004, his mother moved with him and his siblings to the vicinity of Cologne, Germany.
During his Abitur, he developed his first short films and then began his apprenticeship as a media designer for image and sound at Film company where he won his first prize at a film festival in Monheim am Rhein. From here on there was no turning back for him. His fire only burned stronger.
After successfully completing his education, Wonn made the radical decision to move to Berlin to follow his dreams. Since then, he has been funded by "STEP – Hessen Filmförderung für junge Menschen" and has worked on series and films for employers such as NETFLIX, APPLE TV+, PARAMOUNT+, ZDF, ZDFneo, ARD. In 2023, he completed a directing internship with the famous and renowned documentary film director Rosa von Praunheim. He began his studies in directing in October 2024.
